Donor Policy's

At New Palmyra Foundation, we deeply value our donors, whose generosity enables us to continue making a positive impact in the areas of Education, Health, and Food for underserved communities both in the USA and overseas. This Donor Policy outlines how we manage and recognize donations, the rights and responsibilities of our donors, and our commitment to transparency and accountability.

Types of Donations

New Palmyra Foundation accepts various types of donations to support our mission:

  • One-time Donations
    A single, one-time contribution to our general fund or specific projects.

  • Recurring Donations
    Monthly or quarterly donations that provide consistent support for our work.

  • Project-Specific Donations
    Donors can direct their funds to specific initiatives within our mission areas (Education, Health, or Food).

  • In-Kind Donations
    Non-monetary donations such as goods, services, or other contributions that may directly support our programs.

  • Corporate and Matched Donations
    Donations from businesses or individuals wishing to match employee contributions to our cause.

  • Legacy and Planned Giving

         Gifts made through a donor’s will, trust, or other estate planning mechanisms.

Donation Acknowledgement and Receipts

We provide all donors with a tax-deductible donation receipt for every contribution. For one-time donations, receipts will be sent via email immediately after the donation is processed. For recurring donations, receipts will be provided annually. These receipts include details such as the donor’s name, the donation amount, and the date of donation for tax purposes. Note: Please keep your donation receipts for your records as they can be used for tax deductions as permitted by law.

Donor Recognition

We recognize and appreciate all of our donors. Depending on the level of donation and donor preferences, we may:

  • Acknowledge donations on our Supporters Page (unless donors opt for anonymity).

  • Feature significant contributors in our annual reports or newsletters.

Provide special recognition for major donors, including Donor of the Month/Year or feature stories about their support.

Anonymity and Privacy

We respect the privacy of our donors and understand that some may wish to remain anonymous. If you wish for your donation to remain anonymous, please indicate this preference during the donation process. We will take appropriate measures to ensure that anonymous donations are not publicly disclosed. Use of Donations

All donations received by New Palmyra Foundation are used exclusively for our mission of promoting Education, Health, and Food security for underserved communities.

  • General Fund Donations: These funds are used where the need is greatest, supporting our ongoing programs and initiatives.

  • Project-Specific Donations: Donors can choose which project they wish to support (e.g., a specific school, health clinic, or food distribution initiative).

  • Restricted Donations: If you wish to make a restricted donation for a specific purpose, please contact us to discuss your wishes in more detail. We will honor these restrictions as far as possible.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

While we are deeply grateful for every donation, we understand that there may be instances where a donor may wish to request a refund.

  • Refund Requests: Refunds for donations can be requested in cases of technical errors or mistaken transactions. All requests must be made within 30 days of the donation being processed.

Non-Refundable Donations: Donations made via third-party platforms like Stripe and PayPal are processed in accordance with their policies and cannot be refunded once processed.

If your employer participates, we will work with you to ensure your donation is matched, effectively doubling the impact of your generosity.
